I like Indie games, but throwing down in Pathfinder can be fun, too. Tend to like less crunch, more storytelling and character investigation. But really, it's about the GM and the players, ultimately.  A great system will not make a GM or players great and a great GM and players can make any system shine. Deep issues/controversial issues are fine. ...

Been playing forever.. started in 1978 with the lil' D&D books.  Now thinking of getting together with some old players that made the mistake of leaving Northern California.     I love to play almost anything.. I am really interested in the "new" indie rpgs but I feel that I might not be able to a good job of  "Role"...

This is me. My sense of style does not involve long expressions about my self-identity. What I love about life is that it generally doesn't ask me to write my own biography. The last thing I purchased for a friend was a book. I might change this later.

Hi.  I am a bay area gamer and like story/indie games mostly.  A fan of Apocolypse World and most hacks.  Like soap opera and mild horror elements in my games.

I prefer a dark, gritty or nihilistic atmosphere in my RPGs, or clever mechanics.  I'm particularly interested in Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, Dark Heresy, Deadlands, Paranoia.  I reject the D&D notion of green pastures, bright magic, and death as a distant event which happens to NPCs.  Bring me the RPG-noir please, by gaslight, art deco sconce, mercury vapor, plasma arc...

I played D&D, Champions, and WoD for years. Now I'm into darker and/or more narrative games like Fate, DRYH, and Apocalypse World. Love me some Savage Worlds, too. In other news, I'm into fantasy, science fiction, skepticism and heavy metal music.   I actually got to play in a Con rpg and it was Bry Hitchcock's  Deadwood Deadlands Reloaded game...

I wound up DMing for my high school buddies after being introduced to D&D by my older brother.  We mainly created dungeon crawls and we used D&D and Arduin Grimore.  While in high school, I started my own dice company -- now defunct.  After college, I stopped playing.  Years later, I played in a LARP and found a new world...

I'm a character gamer. Stats are important, and I can min/max well enough, but fun interaction with interesting personalities is what gets me excited about a game. I've been around the table (and LARP) long enough to know that avoiding trouble can make for a boring or incomplete session, but I have a good eye for trouble worth getting into...

Love and miss gaming. Love the old school table top RPG's where you had your character on paper, your dice, a table map to draw on and if you were lucky, some figs. Otherwise, coins worked.  I have been out of the gaming scene for too long (get into RPG's at Con's pretty much only). People moved away and eventually...
