  •   Old Nathan (46) "And so Libby went off with the fairy princess to live happily ever after."  Nathan closed the journal and smiled at his daughter. The girl smiled back, her mop of red hair splayed about her pillow. She gave a massive yawn. God she looked so much...

    About me

Nathan was rifling through a garage sale when he saw the coolest book ever. It was leather-bond and sown together just like that one book called the necromoni-whatever. The exact name of the tome escaped Nathan, but it was in that one movie super-lame movie starring Bruce Campbell.

Nathan bought the book for the sum of the change he had on in his left pocket which turned out to be a fiver, a single, a quarter, a dime, four nickels, and a penny. Nathan thought that was totally chill and ironic. It was totally like destiny or something.

What-ever-the-case, the price was a steal because the book turned out to be a wicked antique.  His best guess was that it must have been like a hundred years old or something.

When he opened the book, Nathan found all these old English words. At first he couldn't even make out half of them, but the more he read the better he understood. Reading one of the verses outloud, he accidently caused the waitress at the coffee shop to hallucinate that she was being attacked by bees. It was then did he realize that what he was reading were spells, and not just edgy poetry that he could turn in to shock his English teacher.

Nathan then realized that he was a witch!

Someone else would describe me as...

    ? Sympathetic Tokens
    You gain power from sympathetic
tokens - items of personal significance
that you take from others. Each
sympathetic token counts as a String.
    ? Hex-Casting
You can cast Hexes. Choose two that
you know. To cast them, either expend
a sympathetic token during a secret
ritual, or meet the target’s gaze and
chant at them in tongues. Then roll
with dark. On a 10 up, the Hex works,
and can easily be reversed. On a 7-9, it
    works but choose one:
    }} the casting does you 1 harm;
    }} the Hex has unexpected side effects;
    }} trigger your Darkest Self.

    ? Ring of Lies
Whenever the person attempts to lie,
they hear a piercing ringing noise. Big
lies will often make their knees buckle
and disorient them. Severe lies can
cause harm or even brain damage.

    ? Illusions
Pick one: snakes and bugs, demonic
    visages, false prophecies, non-existent
subtext. The hexed sees that thing
everywhere. You have no control over
    the exact images or manifestations.

    ? Sanctuary
You have a secret place for practising
witchcraft. Add 1 to all rolls you make
    within this space.
