  • "Jentra, what has happened?" Relieved, Jentra stopped and caught his breath before informing the Quarter Guards of his plight. "The , uh, intruders," he took another moment to breath. Another moment to remember. It had all happened so fast. The Master's Apprentice had seemed to be in control one second,...

  • Banugrir fell to his knees, exhausted. That had been the first time he had attempted the ritual without Hareel's supervision. Although he felt honored that Hareel had expressed enough confidence in Banugrir's skills to practice the ritual while he was away, Banugrir knew if Hareel had seen the slip of...

  • The Dwarf, Fargrin Baern, sat in one of six available chairs; his elbows on the table, hands on his cheeks for support. I'm one dead dwarf, he thought. How dumb had he been to even give those pirates a chance to easily take over the dock? Well, there were defenses...

  • Captain Hamoor eyed the Serenity lustfully. After the slaughtering of his last ship, and the years time it took him and his colleagues to work the Fallcrest Empire into reversing their sentences, Hamoor finally had himself a ship. A fine ship at that. Although he had, and would continue, to...

  • I recommend that we take a long rest, but we all agree just to sit for a few minutes before continuing up the stairs. After a while, Khalil and Azkikar notice an illusion hiding a wooden door. The door is surrounded by magical runes. I suggest that we continue on,...

  •   We came across a hidden library!  No wonder its called the Tower of Deception, they even labeled a frost-warded door as Safe!  Its no wonder no one has bothered to write about this mischievous place.   The library was guarded by several guardians, obviously energized by a glowing gem in the...

Ok, I guess our first session will be this Wednesday night, unless Judson would like to suggest a different night that would be better for him. If you miss this session Judson, you can still join in the game later at any point.

So good news, bad news. Good news is we have a new player I'm very excited to announce. Casey Leamon, the man, the legend has joined our game! With, might I add, a very inspiring character. The background he has in the works is nicely imagined, and I think a fitting companion to our current main character.

So here's the bad news. I have to escort my mom to atlanta for some doctor appoinments in the middle of the week. As of now we may be there Tuesday thru Thursday. Her appionments are Weds Thurs. So unless I bring my PC with me (highly unlikely but ...) and we have a hotel with internet acess, I doubt we can play wednesday. So any sugestions? Stall it till the weekend, or try to do it sooner?

So as I said before, good news we have some very strong players joining the game. Looks like besides Casey we may have another classic 90's DnD player about to join the ranks. Dan Bond!! This game has turned around now from becoming a brotherly exercise to an elite game! So I hope not to dissapiont. See my previous post as for our current delima.

Welcome aboard, Casey "Khalil" Leamon! Based on our campaign logs, I estimate the Serenity was at sea for approximately 6 weeks before we found the island (if that matters to you while fine tuning your character for the first session). Seeing as how I'm a giant purple woman on a ship full of humans, you are probably aware of my character. Go easy on her, she's only about 7 weeks old.

As for now, I guess we're just on for our normal Wednesday night session this week. If anyone needs to reschedule or what not, please don't hesitate to comment. Till next game guys!

    I'M BACK!!

And soon, the game will resume! This week Dan and Casey are traveling together to attend a wedding this weekend (give Chris Mont my love guys), so our reunion session will be delayed to next week. Casey says any night will work, and Sam suggested we resume on our original Wednesday nights. Unless this doesn't work for Dan, if everyone can attend I'd like to get back together next week. What do you guys think?

Thanks for fun session last night everyone! Sam's Character Blog of the game is up, as is the Game Blog for that session. In it, we learn a little bit about the Wizard Aprentice Barnugrir, and how he knew of and awaited the player's arrival into the Tower of Deception.

Thanks everyone for another fun session. Dan, just to let you know we got back together after the web break, and your character and the party finished off what was left of the dwarfs. You should get a message from me with your earned experience. I'll write a blog for the game tomorrow. I gotta sleep on it tonight.

Today I finally did something I should have done on DAY ONE, extensively review each of your character sheets in detail. You each should have received an email from me with some notes of interest, and a copy of an updated Character Sheet. Mostly, this was to familiarize myself with every one of your racial and class features.

Also, a reminder to you all that next week's Tuesday night game will start an hour earlier at 9pm EST.

After considering how the missed Character stat errors have affected gameplay in the previous sessions, I've decided to correct this by doing something drastic. With Azkiker's higher attack and damage bonus's, he would have killed more and taken less damage. Khalil we now know would have had a much higher Passive Perception, which would have prevented Dan from walking into a trap last game. Also Anil might have done more damage and had a higher AC in certain scenario's if I had been more aware to keep track of certain sorcerer class features of hers.

So as a way to make amends for some DM'ing mistakes that have affected the outcome of the spread of experience, I have decided to give all Players an extra 200 points of experience.

This means at the start of this upcoming session, ALL players will begin as Level 2 characters. Everyone gains a utility power, 1 additional Feat, and Hit Points as defined by your Class. Also, all check stats go up by 1, as your Half Level bonus is now 1.

Those Stats affected by this are

    • Ability Score mods
    • Defenses (AC, FORT, REF, WILL)
    • Initiative
    • Skills, including Passive Skill checks
    • Attacks and Damage

Sadly, Sam is going to be too busy with his agenda to play tonight. I am in the middle of negotiating an open night from him this week. Ideally, I hope to have us play Friday or Saturday night so that hopefully we can have a longer gaming session than usual.

What night / time is best for you guys?

Also, since Dan's character is still in need of adding a few things for achieving level 2, I thought if you guys wanted to we could still meet up tonight to polish off the character sheets? Maybe discuss the background detail of your characters, so I can better incorporate your ideas into the Game World.
