Currently, I'm most interested in playing Mutants and Masterminds, 3rd Edition. I like superheroes. I work Monday through Friday, and am really only available to play on weekends. If you're interested in more info, continue reading.
In junior high school, I spent all of the money I earned on my paper route on comic books. In high school, a friend of mine who had moved to Wisconsin came back for a visit and intoduced me to a brand new game called Dungeons and Dragons. In college I wasted much (very much) time playing various rpg's. An incomplete list would include: AD&D (first edition), Star Trek: The Role-Playing Game (by FASA), Traveller, Rolemaster, and Spacemaster. Then, despite my best efforts, I graduated college. I had to get a life. Well, a job anyway.
I got that job, and a wife, and then kids, and even when I had the time to play, I couldn't find a game. This was all in that bygone era before cell phones, personal computers, and the interweb (that's a clue that I'm old).
About 10 years ago, I discovered mmorpg's, played in many (but surprisingly, I've never played in WoW). For a while it was fun, but they don't offer the same kind of creativity and role-playing that playing with a human GM offers. Then a few months ago I stumbled onto Aethercon, and reealized that I could play online with a real GM! And here I am.
