Once upon a time, there was a half-elf rouge that wondered the forests of Madisonville Texas. She was a young thing, with a mighty dragonborn companion named Shamash. Why? Because he liked to smash things of course. They saved the day with knives made of sticks, and carried about a D&D 4e Player's Guide (UUUUUUGH) on their persons like a bible. But why? For this young half-elf and dragonborn duo looked upon the moves and mechanics with a confused eye. But it did not matter, for so long as the half-elf and the dragonborn had each other, and a little book full of pretty pictures and descriptions of he possible races and classes, their adventures would never end.
Even if they had no dice.
Such a legend took place years ago, when my little brother and I were but wee children running around the woods of my grandmother's farm. When we did not comprehend the machanics of this RPG world I have recently stepped into. But the dream was always there, as was the will to push the boundries of the imagination for the sake of story telling and fun. What once was the stick smacking of 10 year old children has become the well oiled rolling of dice and a passion for storytelling.
Though since I have become aquanted with D&D, Pathfinder, Star Wars d20, World of Darkness and many others, my passion remains in the days where there were no dice needed to tell a story, only imagination and sticks. I frequent on post-by-post role plays where I can stretch my writing skills, I have found myself in a distinct lack of live role play. Though I am always interested in learning new systems, my main goal will be creating interesting characters and exploring a world where stories can be told.
So take your dice, or your stick, and join me on this epic quest!
