I had to bow out of and close down a lot of games last month - so many in fact that I'm now down to playing in one (Castle Falkenstein) and running one other (Grandvia Conspiracy). I'm looking to add one or two new games to the roster of things I'm running, but I'm curious to know what people are interested in. Here's what I'm considering:
Only War (Again): I had fun running OW on Sundays, but getting players together on game day was a bit tricky. Its been suggested I instead try and run it on a Weekday, perhaps Tuesday or Thursday. I'd probably want to pick up where we left off with the Sunday game, which was approximately halfway through the introductory adventure, but after that who knows what horrible places it might go.
Star Wars: Edge of the Empire: I like Star Wars. I especially like the Fringe setting, what with the smugglers, bounty hunters, and other ne'er do wells of the universe. I ran the Beginner's Box scenario twice and enjoyed it both times, so once I get the Core Rulebook in my grubby mitts I'll want to try and run it here. I've even found an online die roller for it.
Apocalypse World: I've had very mixed results playing Move engine games, but I've never tried running one. I think I'd like to start with AW, perhaps in a setting inspired by the film Children of Men or something equally bleak.
Marvel Heroic Roleplaying: I have two ideas for this. One is a street-level game akin to Marvel Knights, focusing on people like Daredevil and Moon Knight. The other is a Marvel Comics Presents thing where we rotate GMs and Heroes and spotlight assorted corners of the canon each session. Either way it'd probably be a small group.
Unknown Armies: I saw John Dies at the End recently on Netflix and it reminded me how much I love UA. I'd like to try a recurring game of it some time with low or mid tier PCs, poking around the weird corners of the Occult Underground in the modern era.
Any of these excite somebody?
